TaylorMade R7 Limited Driver
If you’re in the market for a new driver, allow me to suggest a pretty good one to you here. I recently had the chance to play with TaylorMade’s new R7 Limited driver. Not only is it a beautiful club, but it’s one of the most adaptable clubs that I’ve ever seen, with options and features that allow you to cater the club to your game.
How can a driver give you options, you say? Well, I’ll tell you. TaylorMade is all about their movable-weight systems. The system on this club gives you a huge range. It allows you to adjust the weighting which can move the ball up to 35 yards left-to-right or right-to-left. Now, to be honest, I’ve never really noticed much of a difference when I adjusted the weights in clubs that I’ve used previously, but this club made a huge difference. I don’t know the exact yardage in terms of the range I got by adjusting the weights, but I would say that 30-35 yards is probably a very reasonable assessment.
The R7 Limited also features a Matrix shaft that TaylorMade designed with Matrix to increase the MOI of the club. The high MOI shaft along with the movable-weight system makes this club one of the most forgiving drivers on the market. It really is a good club…I know from experience. Plus, it’s a beautiful club with a sleek silver/chrome-ish look.
