2009 John Deere Classic Fantasy Golf Picks

Next on the PGA Tour schedule is the John Deere Classic from the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, IL. We’re going to try our best to help you out with your fantasy golf picks this week. If we totally destroy your status in your fantasy golf league, make sure you let us know in the meanest way possible. Comments with insults are encouraged.
Without further ado, these are the guys you don’t want to pick this week…
A-List
Not a whole lot to chose from in you’re A-List, but these guys should do well for you.
Kenny Perry: Kenny Perry is the defending champion at the John Deere Classic and plays well consistently at the TPC at Deere Run. He’s been playing very well lately and we look for him to continue the trend. Look for a big weekend from Perry.
Kevin Sutherland: Sutherland seems to like the TPC at Deere Run because he’s finished in the top-10 in the John Deere Classic for the past two years. Hopefully, he’ll play well this year, as well. Plus, he’s the best out of the small pool of A-Listers for this week.
B-List
The B-List is kind of like a dealer’s choice for this week, because most of your choices don’t play consistently well at Deere Run. So, we’re picking based on consistency this year.
Lucas Glover: Glover has been playing well since his victory at the US Open and we think he’ll continue playing strongly this week. He’s been playing well this year, earning himself a 7th place spot in the FedEx Cup standings, and we think he’ll earn you some fantasy points this weekend.
David Toms: David Toms is a pretty consistent player and we like him here for the John Deere Classic. He’s kind of been up and down with his play this year, but when he’s good, he’s very good. So, we suggest that you begin the weekend with David Toms on the bench and move him up if he’s playing better than someone that you’re starting.
Brad Adamonis: Brad Adamonis is the only guy from the B-List whose history has gotten him onto this list. He finished in second place at this tournament last year, so we believe that he deserves a spot on your fantasy team.
Woody Austin: Again, similar to David Toms, we just have a feeling about Woody Austin for the John Deere Classic. Plus, he had a top-10 finish here last year. We wouldn’t start him, but keep him around in case one of your starters isn’t playing well.
C-List
You should definitely be able to get some points from your C-List players.
J.P. Hayes: You’re probably saying, “Really? J.P. Hayes?” Well, we’re saying, “Yes, really.” This guy has finished in the top-15 the last three years at the John Deere Classic, including a 2nd place finish in 2006. He should definitely get you some points this week.
Heath Slocum: With two top-10 finishes in the past three years, with think Heath Slocum could grab you some points, as well. We suggest starting J. P. Hayes, but we think Slocum will be around at the end.
There you have it. Take those picks to the bank…or the dumpster. Either way, make sure you let us know how your picks work out. Just leave a quick comment below and tell us how you did. Again, insults are welcome.
